During the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 stream, Netmarble unveiled a new trailer for Bloomwalker, confirming that the title is the latest expansion of the Ni no Kuni universe. Originally announced in August 2025 under the working title "Project Bloomwalker," the game is currently in development at Netmarble Neo.
The game centers on the fallen world of Luminoa, a land once shared by humans and spirits that has been devastated by a mysterious meteor. Players take on the role of a Bloomwalker, tasked with cleansing polluted landscapes and restoring nature using a unique, mobile house system. The trailer showcases this core mechanic, emphasizing the game’s focus on cozy exploration and environmental restoration.
Netmarble has confirmed a broad multi-platform release for the title, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. This expansion follows the franchise's history across console, PC, and mobile, including the globally released Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds.
While the main series is best known for its collaboration with Studio Ghibli on titles like Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, the franchise has evolved significantly since its 2010 debut. With the announcement of this new entry, it remains to be seen how closely the narrative of Luminoa will tie into the established lore of the previous games.
