The trailer highlights intense action sequences and the volatile nature of internet stardom. The key art features Shimura alongside allies Aki Yashio and Kanegon, as well as heroine Kaho Asamiya. The series stars Ōji Suzuka as Kota Shimura and Meru Nukumi as Kaho Asamiya. Additional cast includes Noritaka Hamao, Kentarō Maeda, Yūsuke Iseya, Nana Asakawa, Gaku Sano, Gitan Ōtsuru, Tsurutaro Kataoka, Mieko Harada, Ai Mikami, Araki Sugō, and Takurō Osada.

Viral Hit is adapted from a webtoon that launched in Korea in 2019 and has since garnered over 2.28 billion global views, with more than 500 million views in Japan alone since its 2020 serialization. The webtoon also received a television anime adaptation in 2024, currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
