Netflix announced Wednesday it will bring 20 drama titles from Japan's NHK network to its global platform. The selection includes Taiga dramas, Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu (Asadora or Morning Drama) series, and Drama 10 productions.

The first wave of content, launching June 22, will feature the live-action Drama 10 series Descending Stories: A Life in Rakugo, an adaptation of Haruko Kumota's manga of the same name, and Tokyo Salad Bowl: Kokusai Sōsa Jikenbo, based on Kuromaru's manga. Other titles arriving on June 22 include the Taiga drama Strategist KANBE, the Morning Drama Mampuku, Drama 10's The Science Club, and the premium drama My Family.

More titles are slated to join the service in early 2027. The live-action Descending Stories: A Life in Rakugo originally aired on NHK in 2018 and starred Masaki Okada. The source manga, which concluded in 2016, previously received an anime adaptation streamed by Crunchyroll and a musical stage play.

The live-action Tokyo Salad Bowl series premiered on NHK in January 2025, starring Nao as police officer Mari Kōda and Ryūhei Matsuda as interpreter Ryō Arikino. The series follows their investigations into international crimes in Tokyo. The manga adaptation began in 2021 and concluded in 2024.
