The Cat and the Dragon anime adaptation has revealed a second promotional video, additional cast members, and the theme songs for the series. The anime is set to premiere on July 4 in Japan.
The new additions to the voice cast include Natsuki Hanae as Monaruka, Hinata Tadokoro as Greater Daemon, Youji Ueda as Mosha-mosha IV, Saho Shirasu as Mikemike, and Tomohisa Asou as Pompora. These new cast members join the previously announced main cast.
Singer-songwriter suis will perform the opening theme song "Nekohi," while shallm will perform the ending theme "Tadaima no Basho." Both songs can be heard in the newly released promotional video. The anime is being produced by OLM with Jin-Gu Oh directing. Mitsutaka Hirota is handling series composition, with character designs by Chiaki Kurakazu and Rie Nishino, and music by Takahiro Obata.
The original light novel series by Amara began serialization in 2013 and was later published by Takarajimasha starting in 2016. A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki also began serialization in 2017. The ninth volume of the light novel and the twelfth volume of the manga are both slated for release in November 2025, with the manga's thirteenth volume following on July 17.
