The historical comedy manga Sanada Damashii is reaching its conclusion. According to a listing from publisher Hakusensha, the series will end with its sixth compiled volume, which is scheduled to hit shelves on November 27.
Created by Naoki Shigeno, the four-panel series chronicles the exploits of the Sanada clan during the Sengoku period. The manga began its run in 2015 on the Young Animal Densi platform before eventually transitioning to the Manga Park service. The most recent installment, the fifth volume, was released by Hakusensha in April 2025.
Shigeno is perhaps best known for the long-running Nobunaga no Shinobi (Ninja Girl & Samurai Master), which concluded in July 2025 after a 17-year run. That series spawned a significant franchise, including a three-season television anime adaptation that was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll. With the conclusion of Sanada Damashii, Shigeno closes the book on another of his historical projects.
