Anime Expo 2026, North America's largest anime convention, is set to take place from July 2nd to July 5th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. MyAnimeList will be on-site providing live updates via their X (formerly Twitter) account using the hashtag #MALatAX. The convention promises a comprehensive lineup of panels, early screenings, and world premieres for fans of Japanese pop culture.
This year's event boasts a packed schedule of exclusive content. Thursday, July 2nd, features early screenings for Mushoku Tensei Season 3, Skeleton Knight in Another World II, and Saga of Tanya the Evil II, alongside premieres for Sword Art Online: Unanswered//butterfly and The World Is Dancing. Industry panels from Bandai Namco, Square Enix Manga, Big West, Crunchyroll, Aniplex of America, Bushiroad, HIDIVE, and Animate are also slated.
Friday, July 3rd, continues the excitement with an exclusive first look at Gachiakuta Season 2 and U.S. premiere footage for Kyoto Animation's Sparks of Tomorrow and Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 1 & 2. The schedule also highlights a special panel for Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure featuring composer Yugo Kanno, and a screening of a new anime project, Deva Zan, from Yoshitaka Amano.
MyAnimeList will also host a community meetup on Saturday, July 4th, from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM, inviting attendees to connect with fellow fans and MAL moderators.
