My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked is adding a fresh face to its roster. NBC Universal announced that Momoka Terasawa will provide the voice for Koyuki Inari, the eldest daughter of the Inari family who strikes up a friendship with the protagonist, Miya. Terasawa is set to make her first appearance in the series' sixth episode this Wednesday.
This lighthearted reimagining of the Cinderella archetype, which subverts expectations by portraying the step-family as genuinely kind rather than cruel, is currently airing in Japan across networks including TV Kanagawa, Tokyo MX, and BS Asahi. The series is being helmed by director Keisuke Inoue at studio NEWON, with character designs provided by Mutsumi Sasaki.
Since its debut on July 8, the anime has been available on various Japanese streaming platforms, with international viewers able to catch the series via the "It's Anime" YouTube channel. The show continues to adapt the popular manga by Otsuji, which has been a standout in the comedy genre since its 2020 launch in Comic POOL.
