The Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA) has unveiled the nominees for its first-ever Music Awards Japan. Several anime-related tracks are in contention, with Kenshi Yonezu's "IRIS OUT" from Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and AiNA THE END's "On The Way" from DAN DA DAN Season 2 both earning nominations for Song of the Year.
In the Best Anime Song category, five tracks are recognized: Kenshi Yonezu's "IRIS OUT" and "JANE DOE" (also from Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc), Sakanaction's "Kaiju" from Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, AiNA THE END's "On The Way" from DAN DA DAN Season 2, and FRUITS ZIPPER's "Hacha Mecha Wacha life!" from Crayon Shin-chan.
Kenshi Yonezu, Sakanaction, and Mrs. Green Apple are among the nominees for Artist of the Year. The awards ceremony, which will honor both Japanese and international artists across over 60 categories including anime and game soundtracks, is set to take place in June at the SGC Hall Ariake of the Toyota Arena Tokyo. Winners will be selected through a combination of voting by over 5,000 music industry professionals and fan engagement.
