Manga creator Musawo will launch a new manga titled Lilimholic in the upcoming issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine, scheduled for release on May 13. The announcement was made in the combined 22nd and 23rd issue of the magazine this week.
Musawo recently concluded their manga Kareshi Tokidoki Kanojo (My Boyfriend Sometimes is a Girlfriend) in October 2024. This series, which began in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in June 2023, saw its third and final compiled volume released in November 2024. Tokyopop's LoveLove imprint is handling the English release of Kareshi Tokidoki Kanojo, with the third volume due out in June.
This new project follows Musawo's earlier success with Love and Lies (Koi to Uso). Originally serialized on DeNA's MangaBox app starting in August 2014, Love and Lies quickly became the app's most popular title. The manga concluded in January 2022 with its 12th compiled volume and spawned a television anime adaptation in July 2017, as well as an original anime DVD bundled with the manga's eighth volume in November 2018. A live-action film adaptation also premiered in October 2017.
