Inio Asano's Mujina Into the Deep manga has concluded its first season, with plans for a second season to arrive in 2027. The final chapter of the initial run was published in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine. The manga's creator, Inio Asano, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the extended hiatus is due to reaching his physical limits and a temporary lack of material. He also revealed that a new short series is slated for release later this year.

The series entered its "final battle" phase on January 9. Viz Media is handling the English release of the manga, describing its story as centering on Terumi Morgan, whose mundane life is upended by a runaway kid and a mujina assassin.

Mujina Into the Deep first launched in Big Comic Superior in March 2023. The sixth compiled volume is scheduled for release by Shogakukan on May 29, with Viz Media releasing the fourth volume on May 19. Asano is also known for his previous work, Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction, which concluded in February 2022 and received a two-part anime film adaptation and an 18-episode anime series adaptation.
