Monster Hunter Outlanders, the latest mobile expansion of Capcom's long-running action franchise, is officially set to arrive on iOS and Android devices on October 29. The title, which emphasizes open-world survival mechanics and multiplayer cooperation, is being developed by TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary of Tencent known for their work on Call of Duty: Mobile and Pokémon Unite.

Gameplay in the new title distinguishes itself with a character-switching system, allowing players to adapt their approach during hunts. The development team has also confirmed the inclusion of a new Elder Dragon, Ruger Aidal, to challenge players in the open world. Franchise veteran Tadayoshi Makino returns to provide the score, ensuring the series' signature musical identity remains intact.

This release follows a busy period for the franchise, which saw the massive launch of Monster Hunter Wilds in early 2025 and the arrival of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection this past March. While Monster Hunter Now continues to maintain a presence in the AR mobile space, Outlanders represents a shift toward a more traditional open-world survival experience for handheld platforms. A separate release for the mainland China market is currently slated for 2027.
