The spy-comedy anime Mission: Yozakura Family is set to continue its second season with a second cour beginning in October. A teaser trailer was also released today, offering a glimpse of what's to come.
The first part of the second season wrapped up on Sunday, concluding with the anime's 39th overall episode. The season premiered on April 12, airing on MBS, TBS, and 26 other affiliated channels within the "Nichigo" programming block. The series is also available for streaming on Hulu.
For this new season, Mirai Minato has moved into the role of chief director at SILVER LINK, while still overseeing series scripts. Takahiro Nakatsugawa, who previously worked as a storyboard artist and episode director, is directing the anime. Key staff members returning include character designer Mizuki Takahashi, composer Kōji Fujimoto, and sound director Tōru Kanegae.
Idol group Sakurazaka46 provides the opening theme song "What's 'KAZOKU'," with Pilaf Alien performing the ending theme "Shalala." The series, which adapts Hitsuji Gondaira's manga, follows Taiyou Asano as he marries into the Yozakura family, a powerful clan of spies, to protect his childhood friend Mutsumi and uncover dark secrets.
