Shōnengahōsha has announced that Sho Kasugai's supernatural manga Millennium Family (Odoru Sennen Kazoku) is being adapted into a television anime series. The project is slated to broadcast on TBS and various affiliate stations, though a specific premiere window has yet to be disclosed.
Directing duties for the series have been assigned to Masato Jinbo, known for his work on The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 and the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya franchise. Jinbo will also oversee series composition at studio PartsCraft. Joining him is Hiroshi Yoneda, who will handle character design and serve as chief animation director. The production team has already confirmed the lead casting, with Rikuya Yasuda set to voice the protagonist, Theo.
Originally launched in Young King Ours magazine in 2021, the story follows seven immortal siblings who have spent centuries apart. Their reunion is complicated by the fact that their eternal life has made them prime targets for military organizations, criminal syndicates, and corrupt medical institutions. The manga has seen consistent success, with its ninth compiled volume arriving in Japan this week.
To commemorate the announcement, Kasugai provided original celebratory artwork, and a promotional video was shared to introduce the project. The series, which has been localized for English readers via the emaqi e-bookstore, continues to be a standout title in the Shōnengahōsha catalog.
