Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms is returning for a second season, with a teaser promotional video and visual now available. The sequel anime will see the return of Ryōta Iwasaki as the stoic Medaka Kuroiwa and Yū Serizawa as the determinedly charming Mona Kawai.
Synergy SP is once again handling animation duties, with Yoshiaki Okumura directing. Yoriko Tomita takes over series script duties from Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, while Mayumi Watanabe returns for character designs. The music composition by Akiyuki Tateyama and color design by Aiko Yamagami are also returning. New additions include Shinichirō Nagano as compositing director of photography and Hiroki Matsumoto as art director.
The first season of the romantic comedy, which adapts Ran Kuze's manga, premiered in Winter 2025 and was streamed by Crunchyroll. The story follows Mona's relentless efforts to win over Medaka, who remains unfazed by her charms due to his temple upbringing. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English, with the 24th compiled volume set to release on May 15.
