Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms is returning for a second season, with a January 2027 premiere window announced via a new teaser video. The anime, adapted from Ran Kuze's manga, will see the main voice cast reprise their roles. Ryōta Iwasaki is back as the stoic Medaka Kuroiwa, and Yū Serizawa returns as the confident Mona Kawai.
The production will again be handled by Synergy SP, with Yoshiaki Okumura directing. Yoriko Tomita takes over series script duties from Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, while Mayumi Watanabe continues as character designer. Akiyuki Tateyama returns to compose the music, and Nozomi Nakatani and Noriyoshi Konuma are the new sound directors. The first season aired in January 2025, with Crunchyroll streaming the series internationally and offering an English dub.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga digitally and physically, describing the story as a battle of wills between Mona, who believes herself to be the cutest girl in school, and Medaka, who is seemingly immune to her charms due to his temple upbringing. The manga, which began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in May 2021, has 24 compiled volumes to date.
