Mebius Dust, an original television anime from Dōga Kōbō, is set to premiere in July. The series will star Yuto Takenaka as high school student Araki, Nene Hieda as his younger sister and classmate Stella, and Haruka Satō as their childhood friend Olga. The announcement also revealed that Leo Ieiri will perform the anime's opening theme song, titled "Mebius."
The anime is directed by Tarou Iwasaki, known for his work on Baki the Grappler and One Week Friends, with series scripts by Yoriko Tomita, who also worked on My Dress-Up Darling and Senpai is an Otokonoko. Mebius Dust is based on a story by Hajime Shinagawa that won the grand prize in the "Kids/Game" category of the Project Anima competition in 2019. The anime will span one cour.
Mebius Dust is the third anime to emerge from the Project Anima contest. This initiative, hosted by DeNA, Sotsu Co., Ltd., Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, and MBS, sought story submissions through platforms like MangaBox. Previous Project Anima winners include the Sakugan television anime, which premiered in 2021, and the adaptation of The Story of the Girl Who Couldn't Become a Wizard, which debuted in October 2024.
