McDonald's Japan has announced a new collaboration with the iconic Saint Seiya franchise, introducing a limited-time menu inspired by regional Japanese cuisine. The promotion officially unveiled three unique burgers, each representing a different area of Japan.

The featured burgers include the Hokkaido Jaga Cheese Teriyaki, a nod to the northern island's potatoes; the Nagoya Meibutsu Tebasakifu Kurogoma Juicy Chicken, inspired by the city's famous chicken wings; and the Hakata Mentai Butter Teriyaki, drawing from the Kyushu region's popular marinated roe. These special menu items will be available for purchase starting May 20.

To promote the collaboration, McDonald's Japan has released four commercials set to the franchise's classic opening theme, "Pegasus Fantasy." The initial ad showcases all three burgers, while subsequent spots highlight each one individually. Comedian Seiya Ishikawa, whose name shares a connection with the series' protagonist, stars in these advertisements.

The announcement generated buzz online, with fans sharing humorous references to the franchise's history, including past live-action adaptations and even characters from other series.
