During a livestream event commemorating the 30th anniversary of Story of Seasons and the 20th anniversary of Rune Factory, publisher Marvelous shared the first public look at its upcoming slate. The presentation included teaser footage for Rune Factory 6, confirming that the next mainline entry in the fantasy-RPG series is moving forward following its initial 2023 announcement.

Development plans for Story of Seasons were also clarified, with the studio confirming two distinct projects currently in the works. One title is designed as a traditional single-player experience, while the second aims to introduce multiplayer mechanics to the long-running farming simulation franchise.

These reveals arrive on the heels of a productive year for the studio. In 2025, Marvelous expanded its footprint with the release of the Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar remake and the launch of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma—formerly known as Project Dragon—across PC, Nintendo Switch, and current-generation consoles. The new teasers provide a roadmap for the future of these franchises as they transition further into the current hardware generation.
