The television anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's Mao manga is gearing up for its second cour with new cast members and an updated opening theme. The official website announced that Takuya Satou, Rie Kugimiya, and Katsuyuki Konishi are among the new additions to the voice cast.
Satou will voice Hakubi, Kugimiya will bring Natsuno to life, and Konishi is set as Daigo. The lineup also includes Tasuku Kaito as Souma Kagami and Shino Shimoji as Kagari Houshou. Alongside these new characters, the second cour will feature a new opening theme song titled "Bokura ga Uwagaki suru Sekai," performed by the group 20th Century.
A second key visual for the series has also been released, offering another glimpse into the world of Mao. The anime premiered on April 4, with Teruo Satou directing at Sunrise and Yuuko Kakihara handling series composition. Yoshihito Hishinuma is the character designer and chief animation director, with music by Shuu Kanematsu.
Rumiko Takahashi's supernatural manga began serialization in Weekly Shounen Sunday in May 2019, and VIZ Media licenses the series for English release.
