Webtoon platform Manta has significantly expanded its content offerings, announcing Tuesday the addition of over 600 Japanese manga titles to its service. This move broadens Manta's library beyond its established collection of webtoons and web novels.
Readers can now access a variety of manga alongside existing content. Among the initial titles available are Wind Breaker, Medalist, and The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity. The platform has not yet specified the regions where these new manga will be accessible, with some users reporting an inability to view the content.
To celebrate the expansion, Manta has partnered with Kodansha for a promotional campaign. This collaboration provides users with 150 Gems to unlock manga volumes and offers discounts of up to 94 percent on the first volume of select series, covering more than 400 titles.
Alongside the content update, Manta adjusted its in-app currency system on March 31. All Gem amounts were multiplied tenfold while preserving their overall value, with unlock prices increasing proportionally. The company stated this change will enable more flexible discount options across the platform.
