Production company Nikkatsu has confirmed that Yurayura Q (Yura Yura Queen), the supernatural comedy manga by Gido Amagakure, is slated for a television anime adaptation. The announcement arrived alongside a debut teaser visual, offering a first look at the project.
The series follows Kyuuko, a young fox girl born to a human and a divine fox messenger. Despite being surrounded by eight exceptionally talented older siblings, Kyuuko grapples with a sense of ordinariness and difficulty mastering the fox clan's traditional transformation powers. Supported by her childhood friend Haru, the story tracks her journey toward self-acceptance as she navigates daily life and assists gods and humans alike with their troubles.
Amagakure launched the series in The Hana to Yume magazine in October 2019, following a pair of initial one-shots. With Hakusensha having released the fifth volume this past January, the main narrative is scheduled to conclude in the magazine's next issue on July 27. However, the franchise will continue, as a spin-off is already planned for a 2025 release in Hana to Yume.
