The fantasy comedy manga Sudachi no Maoujou (The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop) is set to receive a television anime adaptation, with its premiere slated for January 2027. An official website launched today, unveiling the main cast, key production staff, and a teaser visual and promotional video.

Leading the cast are Reiji Kawashima as Murabito and Rumi Ookubo as Mao. The anime is being produced by Studio Project No.9, with Jun Taira directing. Keiichirou Oochi is handling series composition, and Katsuyuki Satou is designing the characters. The animation team also includes Hisato Shiota for art direction, Miyuki Satou for color design, Yuta Katayama as director of photography, and Akari Saitou on editing. Sound direction is by Noboru Haraguchi, with Bit grooove promotion handling sound production, and Takurou Iga composing the music, with Avex Pictures overseeing music production. Satoshi Koutani serves as animation producer.

Makoto Morishita's manga began serialization in Kodansha's Monthly Shounen Magazine in October 2021. The story follows Villager, who runs an item shop called The Nest. With the demon lord defeated and peace established, business is slow, and Villager faces closure until a mysterious girl appears, changing everything.
