The music-infused romance series Studio Cabana is heading to the small screen in 2027. Kadokawa launched a dedicated website for the adaptation today, confirming that the production will be helmed by director Shinichirou Ushijima, known for his work on I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. The series will be produced at studio Juvenage.

Voice actress Sayumi Suzushiro, recognized for her role in Bocchi the Rock!, has been tapped to voice the protagonist, Yukari Maki. The production staff also includes series composer Sawako Hirabayashi and character designer Haruka Sagawa, who previously contributed to Call of the Night.

Based on Aguri Uma’s manga, which began serialization on the pixiv Sylph web magazine in 2021, the story follows the unlikely connection between the honest, rule-abiding Yukari and her delinquent classmate, Yuusuke Kusaka. After discovering Yuusuke’s hidden musical talents at a local studio, Yukari’s perception of her classmate begins to shift.

The source material has garnered significant attention, earning a nomination in the Web Manga category at the 2023 Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards. With nine volumes currently in print and an English license secured by Yen Press, the upcoming anime looks to expand the reach of this character-driven drama.
