The narrative centers on an unlikely duo: Mikoto, a young man mourning the loss of his mother to a curse, and Hako, a mysterious girl whose face has been replaced by a box. Their journey involves hunting down malevolent spirits and uncovering the secrets behind Hako's transformation, all while navigating their own constant, comedic bickering.
This new serialization follows a successful one-shot version of the story, which Tengan first published on the Shonen Jump+ platform back in September 2022. The transition from a short-form concept to a full series highlights the platform's focus on developing unique supernatural hits for its global digital catalog.
