The comedy manga Elf-sensei no Toilet wa Doko desu ka? is set to receive a television anime adaptation. The news comes from the Deregula animation label, a division of WWWave Corporation, which celebrated the announcement by releasing two commemorative illustrations drawn by series creator Chizuna Nakajima.
Serialized in Comic Cune since January 2024, the story follows Eruru, an elf navigating a teaching practicum at an all-boys school. Her adjustment to the human world is complicated by a peculiar cultural requirement: she can only use restrooms that feature abundant nature. This premise drives the series' central fantasy-comedy conflict as she attempts to maintain her dignity while searching for suitable facilities.
Kadokawa released the second compiled volume of the manga in February 2025. Although the series has been on hiatus since January 2025, it is scheduled to resume serialization on September 26. With the production currently in its early stages, the upcoming return of the manga serves as the most immediate point of interest for those tracking the franchise's development.
