Following the conclusion of their hit series Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included, manga author matoba is set to debut a brand-new project. Titled Eden no Tō: Luluchikakunia to Tō no Meikyū (Tower of Eden: Luluchikakunia and the Tower Labyrinth), the series will premiere in the September issue of Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan on August 12. The launch will be commemorated with a front-cover feature and a color opening page.

Described as a "girl-meets-girl" story set against an apocalyptic backdrop, the manga shifts away from traditional fantasy tropes. Instead of heroes or demon lords, the narrative focuses on young women navigating complex, labyrinthine dungeons.

This new venture follows a prolific period for matoba within the pages of Monthly Shonen Gangan. Their previous work, Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included, concluded its five-year run in March 2025, with the final volume released shortly after. That series, which also received an anime adaptation streamed on Crunchyroll, solidified matoba's reputation for character-driven narratives, a style readers can expect to see evolve in this upcoming dungeon-crawling fantasy.
