The romantic comedy manga Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito (My Crush's Crush), written by Sekina Aoi and illustrated by Ryou Tsuzura, is officially slated for a television anime adaptation. To mark the announcement, Tsuzura shared a celebratory illustration featuring the series' cast.

The story follows Sora Akizuki, a second-year high school student whose romantic pursuit of his junior, Miya Fuwa, hits a wall when she reveals she is in love with Asahi Suzukaze, the president of the school's Clinical Trials Club. In a bid to understand his rival, Sora joins the club, only to discover a complex web of unrequited feelings: Asahi is actually searching for a mysterious boy from her childhood who saved her during a clinical trial. The irony, unknown to both parties, is that the boy she is pining for is Sora himself.

Since its debut in Young Animal Zero in November 2022, the series has built a steady following, leading to an English-language license by Yen Press. With the seventh volume of the manga arriving on August 28, the production team is well-positioned to draw from a substantial amount of source material. Fans of Aoi’s previous work, such as the light novel series Gamers!, will likely recognize the writer's penchant for tangled romantic misunderstandings.
