Kyoto Prefectural Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a bomb threat made against Nintendo's headquarters. The unemployed resident of Hekinan City has reportedly confessed to the charge of obstructing business by force.

The incident stems from a letter sent to Nintendo's Kyoto offices via postal mail on March 16. In the letter, the suspect allegedly claimed to have planted multiple bombs around the company's premises. Authorities conducted a thorough search of the headquarters following the threat but found no suspicious devices.

The Kyoto Shimbun and Sankei Shimbun reported on the arrest, citing information from the police. The man's motive and any further details surrounding the threat are still under investigation.
