Writer Makoto Fukami and artist Shūsaku Namikawa have launched a new manga titled Chōgen Market Heroes: Menko Reverser Kakeru. The series debuted on Shogakukan's web manga site Coro Coro Comic on March 28 and adapts an upcoming board game of the same name, designed by Creatures.

The story is set in a world where corporate heroes battle villains threatening global ruin. It centers on Kakeru Ginga, once Japan's top player of the hobby game 'Ultra Menko.' Though his childhood prowess brought him attention, he now works a regular job, yearning for a heroic path. His dormant passion is reignited when he meets a genius named Dengaru, inspiring him to pursue his heroic aspirations.

The Chōgen Market Heroes board game is slated for release on June 12. Fukami, known for his extensive work in anime scripts including Psycho-Pass, Berserk (2016), and most recently Heavenly Delusion, has a prolific manga career. His past collaborations include the Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka manga with Seigo Tokiya, which received an anime adaptation, and the ongoing Succubus & Hitman.
