Fans of The Apothecary Diaries can soon recreate dishes from the popular series with the upcoming cookbook, Maomao's Recipes. The book is slated to ship on May 13 and features 23 recipes based on food that has appeared within the story.
Beyond the culinary content, the cookbook will also include five newly penned short stories from the original novel's author, Hyūganatsu. A previously released short story, "Cacao Kashi" (Cacao's Sweets), is also included. Touko Shino, the original illustrator for the light novels, provided the new cover art for the cookbook.
To celebrate the announcement, the "Cacao Kashi" short story and its accompanying recipe were made available online for free. The cookbook, published by IMAGICA Infos and distributed by Shufunotomo, will retail for 2,200 yen (approximately $13.85 USD).
