Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is set to return for its second season on July 4, with the release of its first promotional video today also unveiling new cast and staff members. The video offers a preview of the ending theme song "BooooM!!!", performed by VTuber Marine Houshou.
The upcoming season will feature Mariko Higashiuchi as Hitomi Koshigaya, taking over the role from Yumiri Hanamori. Sayumi Watabe joins the cast as Iroha Akasaka. The production sees Riki Fukushima stepping in as the new director at J.C. Staff, with Michiko Yokote serving as the new script supervisor. Returning staff include Masahiro Fujii as character designer and Makoto Miyazaki for music composition.
Several new staff members have also been announced for the second season, including assistant director Hiroyasu Oda, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, art director Shun Yoshii, CG director Shunsuke Kasuga, and editor Yūji Kondō. Asuka Hino is the new color key artist, and Yūsuke Noguchi has been promoted to compositing director of photography.
Based on the manga by Sekka Iwata and Yū Aoki, Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. follows Kana Sakuragi, who finds herself recruited into a magical girl company after a monster attack during a job interview. The first season aired in Fall 2024 and was streamed globally by Amazon Prime Video. The manga concluded its serialization in July 2025.
