The high-stakes action series Magical Girl and Narco Wars (Mahō Shōjo to Mayaku Sensō) is reaching its conclusion. Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform confirmed that the final chapter of the manga, created by writer Yū Nomiya and artist Merou Meiji, will be published on July 21.
Launched in May 2025, the series follows narcotics agent Susui, who goes deep undercover within the yakuza to investigate the spread of a mysterious substance known as "Candy." The narrative takes a sharp turn when he is saved by Riri Hoshina, a self-proclaimed magical girl. This unique blend of crime drama and magical girl tropes has been available to international readers through the MANGA Plus service.
Following the conclusion of the serialization, Shueisha plans to release the third compiled book volume on August 4. This follows the first volume, which hit shelves in October 2025. While this marks the end of the current collaboration, artist Merou Meiji maintains a prolific track record, having previously worked on titles such as Panagia's Territory and The Archangel of Death.
