Bandai Namco Filmworks has released the main trailer and a fresh key visual for Gekijōban Maebashi Witches: Majo Minarai no Emoemories, the upcoming compilation film summarizing the events of the original 2025 television series. The trailer offers a glimpse into the magical journey of the five high school protagonists who balance their ordinary lives in Gunma Prefecture with their secret duties as the titular witches.
Returning to helm the project is director Junichi Yamamoto, joined by series scriptwriter Erika Yoshida and character designer Nozomi Tachibana. The film retains the core production team from the TV series, with Yuri Habuka back to provide the score. The cast also returns in full, featuring Sakura Kasuga as Yuina Akagi and Tomokazu Sugita as the mysterious frog mentor, Keroppe.
Beyond the cinematic release, the franchise is expanding its live presence. Bandai Namco Filmworks announced that the series' voice cast, who perform under the Maebashi Witches group name, will hold a solo concert at Shibuya LOVEZ on January 15-16, 2027. This follows the success of the original series, which was previously streamed on Crunchyroll.
The story centers on five high schoolers who discover a portal in a closet leading to a magical flower shop, where they use song and dance to grant the wishes of others. With the compilation film hitting theaters on October 23, fans have a chance to revisit the group's origin story before the concert event early next year.
