The latest promotional push for Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi (Awakening Mystery) has arrived, bringing with it fresh details on the franchise's return to the big screen. The film, which serves as a direct sequel to the intense events of The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, has confirmed the addition of Sumire Morohoshi as Tepasté and Takanori Hoshino as Cravagli to its voice cast.
Alongside the casting news, the production team shared a third trailer that offers a glimpse into the film's atmosphere, highlighted by the theme song "Chain of the Abyss." The track is a collaborative effort between series composer Kevin Penkin and VTuber Mori Calliope. The film reunites the core creative team from previous installments, with Masayuki Kojima directing at Kinema Citrus and Hideyuki Kurata returning to handle the script.
As the series continues to adapt Akihito Tsukushi’s dark fantasy manga, Mezameru Shinpi arrives with high expectations.
