The manga adaptation of Lycoris Recoil, illustrated by Yasunori Bizen and written by Spider Lily, is nearing its conclusion. According to the October issue of Kadokawa’s Comic Flapper magazine, the series will wrap up its story in just two more chapters.
Since its debut in September 2022, the manga has served as a companion to the original anime project. The series follows the lives of undercover agents operating out of a stylish café, balancing high-stakes missions with their daily routines. As of late August 2025, Kadokawa has released nine compiled volumes, while Yen Press continues to publish the series for English-speaking readers.
This manga is part of a broader franchise that includes the original 2022 television anime produced by A-1 Pictures, as well as the Lycoris Recoil: Ordinary Days spinoff novel. The franchise has maintained a strong presence across platforms, with the original anime series currently holding an 82/100 score on AniList. Beyond the main series, the franchise expanded in April 2025 with the release of six short films titled Lycoris Recoil: Friends are thieves of time.
With the manga reaching its final arc, it remains to be seen if the franchise will pivot toward new original projects or continue focusing on the existing spinoff material. Given the series' consistent performance, which of the various Lycoris Recoil spin-offs or side stories would you like to see adapted next?
