The third official English-subtitled trailer for Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky has arrived, offering fans a first listen to the anime's opening theme song, "Hitohira," performed by singer-songwriter Motohiro Hata. The trailer showcases the delicate romance between Kakeru Sorano, a withdrawn university freshman, and Koharu Fuyutsuki, a blind girl with an optimistic outlook.
Miyu Irino stars as Kakeru, with Saori Hayami voicing Koharu. The cast also includes Konomi Kohara as Yūko Hayase and Yōhei Azakami as Ushio Narumi. The anime is directed by Joe Yoshizaki at Studio MAKARIA, with Yūko Kakihara handling series scripts. Character designs are by Yoshihiro Sawada and Yūzuki Ishii, and Harumi Fuuki is composing the music.
Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky is set to premiere on July 6. It will air on AT-X at 9:00 p.m. JST, followed by Tokyo MX at 10:00 p.m. JST and MBS at 26:45 JST (effectively July 7 at 2:45 a.m. JST). Notably, a special "barrier-free" audio description version will also be broadcast on AT-X.
The anime is an adaptation of Nanigashi Shima's novel, which received critical acclaim, ranking third in the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024 guidebook. The novel also inspired a live-action series and a manga adaptation. A sequel novel, "Love Unseen Beneath a Colorful Night Sky," was released in August 2024.
