Helming the project is director Gō Kurosaki, known for his work on Shikizakura, with animation produced by Sublimation. Fumiaki Maruto, writer for Engage Kiss, is handling the script, while Haruko Iizuka, who designed characters for Ensemble Stars!, is responsible for the character designs. Yoshiaki Fujisawa, composer for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, is scoring the music, with Lantis producing.

The Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club is part of the broader Love Live! franchise, originating from the Link! Like! Love Live! smartphone game that launched in April 2023. The game is set to conclude its service on June 30. Beyond the game and film, the idol group engages with fans through music releases, concerts, manga, and video content, embodying the franchise's multi-platform approach.
