Playlist Studio, the production company behind the live-action Weak Hero series, has issued a stern warning regarding fraudulent casting attempts for a rumored third season. The company identified individuals falsely posing as casting directors for a potential Weak Hero Class 3, urging the public to disregard any unsolicited approaches.

In an official statement, Playlist Studio clarified that they are not currently engaged in any form of street casting and that any such claims are unrelated to their operations. They have requested that anyone who has encountered similar scams or experienced damages report the incidents through official channels. The warning follows recent online discussions and unverified social media posts suggesting that street casting was underway for the show.

The Weak Hero franchise is based on a popular webtoon. The first season aired in 2022, with subsequent seasons Weak Hero Class 2 and Weak Hero Class 1 arriving on Netflix in April and March 2025, respectively. The series, starring Ji-hoon Park as Si-eun Yeon, delves into themes of school violence and social dynamics within high schools. Despite the circulating rumors and renewed fan interest, Playlist Studio has not yet officially confirmed any plans for a third season.
