The upcoming live-action adaptation of Wandance has unveiled four new cast members, offering a glimpse into the film's supporting ensemble through a series of newly released character videos and visuals. The production team confirmed that Kira Yamaguchi will portray On Miyao, joined by Ran Mazzel as Iori Itsukushima, Tsukki as Gaku Kabeya, and Aloha Takamatsu as Usen Takumi. These additions round out the supporting cast for the film, which is set to hit Japanese theaters on November 27.
Directed by Naoya Kusaba with a screenplay penned by Keiichi Kobayashi, the project aims to capture the kinetic energy of Coffee’s original manga. To ensure the authenticity of the hip-hop choreography, the production has enlisted dancer and entrepreneur Charisma Kantarō to supervise the film's dance sequences. The lead roles are held by &Team member JO as the protagonist Kaboku Kotani, with Anji Ikehata stepping into the role of the charismatic Hikari Wanda.
Coffee’s source material, which began serialization in Afternoon in 2019, has gained a reputation for its vibrant depiction of self-discovery through dance. The franchise has seen significant expansion recently, including a television anime adaptation that premiered in October 2025 and was distributed globally via Disney+. With the 15th compiled volume of the manga released in late 2025 and English-language volumes continuing to roll out through Kodansha USA, the live-action film arrives as the latest major milestone for the series.
