The live-action adaptation of Kon Iguchi and Yūji Nakamura's Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer manga has announced additional cast members. The series, based on the manga about a detective hunting serial killers with the help of a mysterious woman who can sense them, is set to premiere in July.
Joining the previously announced leads You Yokoyama as detective Shiro Isogai and Nagisa Sekimizu as informant Hinata Kuroi are Reia Yonekura as officer Kozue Hasegawa, Sō Okuno as Shinichi Makino (a character exclusive to the live-action series), Hirona Yamazaki as Kaede Tsuruoka, and Masahiro Toda as lieutenant Daigo Satake.
Directed by Hidetaka Sakamoto, Hiroki Inoue, and Toshimitsu Iizuka, with scripts by Norikatsu Kodama and Kōta Edatsune, the series will debut on July 1 in Kansai TV's "Sui-Dora Eleven" programming block. The original manga launched in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine in June 2024, with Seven Seas Entertainment handling its English release.
