BS-TBS has confirmed a third season for its live-action adaptation of Ai Tanaka's Tengu no Daidokoro (Tengu's Kitchen) manga. The new season is slated to premiere on BS-TBS in the Thursday 11:00 p.m. time slot this fall.
This upcoming season will deviate from the manga, presenting an entirely original story with direct supervision from creator Ai Tanaka. The plot will follow On Izuna as he travels to New York to be with his parents, while his brother Motoi Izuna remains in the tengu village. Meanwhile, their childhood friend Yui Atago embarks on a new venture to start his own company.
Key cast members are returning for the third season, including Kiita Komagine as Motoi Izuna, Akihisa Shiono as Yui Atago, and Keitatsu Koshiyama as On Izuna. The production will also see the return of director Kakeru Nagashima and writers Yukiko Sode, Chihiro Amano, and Hiromu Kumamoto. Music composition will once again be handled by VaVa.
