The upcoming live-action adaptation of How Do We Relationship? (Tsukiatte Agete mo Ii ka na) has unveiled a new main visual alongside seven additional cast members. The production, based on Tamifull's celebrated manga, is set to begin its broadcast run on MBS starting September 10.
Joining the previously announced leads, Riho Sayashi as Saeko Sawatari and Sakurako Konishi as Miwa Inuzuka, are a variety of supporting characters. The new additions include Ayaka Konno as Yuria Washio, Eiku Yamashita as the drummer Mikkun, Kasumi Yamaya as Miwa's high school senior Shiho Kumagai, Reina Kurosaki as Rika-chan, Kū Ijima as Tsuruta, Yo Aoi as Rucha, and Ryō Hashimoto as Kamedo.
The production team places a significant emphasis on authentic representation, notably including Momoko Nishiyama as an intimacy coordinator and Yuri Igarashi for LGBTQ supervision. Directing duties are split between Kana Yamada, who handles the majority of the episodes, and Sunhye Hong, with Miki Matsugasako writing the scripts and Tomohide Harada composing the score.
Originally serialized in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday and Manga ONE from 2018 to 2025, the source material follows the complex, pragmatic romance between two college students who decide to date after failing to find other partners. With the manga concluding its 14-volume run earlier this year, the live-action series aims to capture the nuanced emotional growth that made the original work a standout in the yuri genre.
