The live-action film adaptation of Mika Yamamori's In the Clear Moonlit Dusk manga has added Yūki Yoda and Naohito Fujiki to its cast. Yoda, formerly of the idol group Nogizaka46, will portray Yoshiko, a childhood friend of Kohaku. Fujiki has been cast as Seiichi Takiguchi, the father of the protagonist Yoi and owner of the curry restaurant "Nasu Oyaji."
The film stars Shunsuke Michieda as Kohaku Ichimura and Seira Anzai as Yoi Takiguchi, the "prince" of her school who is secretly a girl. The story follows Yoi's unexpected relationship with Ichimura, who sees her for who she truly is.
Directed by Kentarō Takemura and written by Yuichi Tokunaga, the production also features Shū Kanematsu on music. TBS TV is overseeing production with TBS Sparkle, and TOHO is handling distribution. The film is set to premiere in Japan on October 23. The manga, which ranked highly on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list for female readers, also inspired a 12-episode anime series that streamed on Crunchyroll.
