The live-action film adaptation of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura's BLUE LOCK manga has unveiled new cast members for the formidable Team V. A newly released video introduced Kōhei Higuchi as Zantetsu Tsurugi, K (of the idol group &TEAM) as Seishiro Nagi, and Keito Tsuna as Reo Mikage, completing the ace trio of the rival team.

These additions join previously announced cast members portraying key players in the Blue Lock project. Fumiya Takahashi is set to play protagonist Yoichi Isagi, with Kaito Sakurai as Meguru Bachira and Kyōhei Takahashi as Hyoma Chigiri. Masataka Kubota will portray the enigmatic Jinpachi Ego. The film is directed by Yūsuke Taki, with Tetsuo Kamata handling the screenplay, and is produced by CREDEUS with distribution by TOHO.

The story follows Japan's quest to find an "Absolute Ace Striker" after a disappointing World Cup, gathering 300 elite youth players for a competitive training program. The manga, which won Best Shōnen Manga at the 2021 Kodansha Manga Awards, has already spawned a successful anime series and a spinoff film, BLUE LOCK -EPISODE NAGI-, which premiered in April 2024.

The live-action BLUE LOCK film is slated to premiere on August 7.
