The production team behind the live-action adaptation of Roji's Ao to Midori has unveiled a new key visual alongside the identity of the series' opening theme artist. The group ONE Nโ€™ ONLY will provide the show's opening track, titled "Crush On You." This announcement arrives just weeks ahead of the series' broadcast premiere, offering a clearer look at the tone of the upcoming drama.

The series follows the long-term relationship between Ao, a high school standout nicknamed "baby" for his innocence, and Midori, who struggles to express his feelings. The narrative tracks their connection over an eight-year period as they transition from high school students into working adults, grappling with the social pressures of "normalcy" along the way. Naoya Kusakawa and Hidekazu Chinen lead the cast as Midori and Ao, respectively.

Production is helmed by a team including directors Nao Nomura, Hitomi Kitagawa, and Saki Michimoto, with scripts written by Ayumi Shimo. The show is scheduled to debut on BS Asahi on October 5 at 11:24 p.m., with a simultaneous broadcast on TV Kanagawa. Viewers looking for an early start can catch the series on the streaming service Lemino beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the same day, with additional airings on HBC, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, and CBC TV following on October 8.

This project marks another live-action foray for creator Roji, whose manga Countdown to Yes also received a television adaptation earlier this year. With the series set to hit multiple regional networks, the staggered release schedule suggests a broad push for the title this fall.
