The romantic comedy light novel series Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken has officially reached its conclusion. The 11th volume, which serves as the final installment of the story, arrived on shelves this past Friday, bringing a definitive end to the narrative of Hayato and his childhood friend Haruki.

Author Yu Hibari first introduced the series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou web platform in June 2020. Its popularity led to a physical publication deal with Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko imprint in February 2021, featuring distinct character designs by illustrator Shirakomiso. The series, which explores the dynamic of a protagonist reuniting with a childhood friend who has transformed into a high-school beauty, has maintained a dedicated following for its lighthearted take on school-life romance.

While the source material has concluded, the franchise continues to expand through other media. Kina Oyama’s manga adaptation, which began serialization in September 2021, is still active with seven volumes currently released. Additionally, the property has moved into the television space with an anime adaptation produced by Project No. 9, which is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
