Mamonotsukai no Musume, the adventure fantasy light novel by Damu Amato, is officially receiving a television anime adaptation. An official website launched Friday, unveiling the main cast, key staff members, and a teaser visual for the series.
Voicing the lead characters are Manaka Iwami as Leen, the mysterious young woman with the power to tame monsters, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Hakura, the veteran adventurer indebted to her. Akio Ootsuka will also lend his voice to the character Ao. Directing the anime is Chihiro Kumano, known for his work on Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken. Satoshi Sugisawa is handling series composition, and Akane Kasasagi is designing the characters, with animation produced by Project No.9.
The light novel, which originated on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, was acquired by Drecom Media and began print publication in December 2024. The series recently won the Grand Prize at the 2024 DRECOM Media Award. J-Novel Club is releasing the series in English, with the second volume having been published on February 13. A third print volume is scheduled for release on July 10, and a manga adaptation is set to launch in September 2026.
The story follows Hakura, a seasoned adventurer who is saved from a deadly hydra by Leen, a girl with the unique ability to tame any monster. Indebted to her, Hakura joins Leen on her travels, leading to a journey filled with bickering and adventure.
