The fantasy romance light novel Kochira, Shuumatsu Teitai Iinkai is officially transitioning to the screen. During the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival Online 2026, organizers revealed that a television anime adaptation is currently in production, accompanying the news with an initial teaser video.

Since its debut in July 2024, the series has maintained a steady release schedule under the Dengeki Bunko imprint, with six volumes currently available. The franchise has also expanded into other media, including a manga adaptation by Yutaka Sakurai that began running on Shounen Ace Plus in April 2025. Two volumes of the manga have been published to date.

Why it matters: The series has gained notable momentum in the light novel market, landing a fourth-place spot in the paperback category of the 2025 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guide. While the announcement confirms the project is moving forward, the production studio, key staff members, and a premiere date have yet to be disclosed.
