The television anime adaptation of Shinobu Kaitani’s psychological suspense manga Liar Game has expanded its cast list. Following its premiere on April 7, the production team announced that Daisuke Namikawa, known for his work in Trigun Stargaze, has joined the project as Solario. Joining him are Yuuya Uchida as Shou Kikuchi, Hiroko Ushida as Tadako Kousaka, and Minoru Shiraishi as Yuuichi Nishida.
The series is currently being produced at Madhouse under the direction of Asami Kawano, who previously served as an assistant director on The Vampire Dies in No Time. The production staff features a veteran lineup, including series composer Tatsuhiko Urahata and composer Yuugo Kanno, who is responsible for the show's score. Character designs are being handled by Kei Tsuchiya.
This adaptation brings Kaitani’s intense psychological warfare to the screen, building on a franchise that saw its original manga run in Young Jump from 2005 to 2015. The series continues to grow, with the recent announcement of a 20th volume, Liar Game: The Last Game, scheduled for release on October 19. Fans can catch the current episodes airing on TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo.
