Lezhin Entertainment is expanding its digital offerings with the launch of Teaz, an AI-driven chat service debuting in Korea on October 19, 2026. According to a report by YNA, the platform utilizes officially licensed intellectual property from Lezhin Comics and Bomtoon, allowing users to engage in conversations with webtoon characters from either a first-person or third-person perspective. The service incorporates dynamic relationship mechanics, where character responses evolve based on user input, alongside collection features that reward users with exclusive illustrations and items created by original series artists. Teaz is currently available as a web-based service, with a mobile application and additional role-playing game modes scheduled for future updates. While parent company KidariStudio intends to leverage technology to grow its media presence, Lezhin Entertainment has not confirmed plans to expand the service to English-speaking markets. The launch aligns with a wider industry trend of integrating AI-powered interactions into webtoon platforms, following similar initiatives by Naver WEBTOON, which introduced its own character chat services in South Korea, Japan, and other territories.
